I have had a constant issue with the front tyre wear on my 260, where by it wears the shoulder off of the front passenger tyre before touching the rest of the tyre. i have had the car 4 wheel aligned about 4/5 times lost count now and have even spoken to Andy Kitson Chassis designer.

Has any one else suffered a simular problem to mine, with a solution that has worked, i have had two new tyres fitted to the front as the passenger side was badly worn and have had the front adjusted to recommendations from Andy, fingers crossed that it works.

Any help, suggestions etc would be kindly read and researched

Peter

Now running different settings and so far even wear on both tyres, covered an estimated 800miles and have just over 7mm on the overall face of the tyre, so will keep monitoring.

what are the different settings? I might try this.

Also, any ideas for rear settings, as the car I have just bought wears the rear tyres very badly on the insides, but the alignment has been done and checked a few times in the past.

Can the camber be adjusted (less camber?) and / or maybe there is too much toe-out?

I dont want to mess up the handling though!

the different setting i had come from both trail and error and asking Andy Kitson one of the blokes behind the handling at MGR, i originally had it set to standard with new tyres to find what was needed, i then contacted Andy and he gave me some advice on some new settings, what was right for my car may not be correct for yours unfortunately.

As far as the geomemtry goes everything is adjustable to achieve the correct handling.
when i get home i will post up the correct settings and what i had mine set to.
