Question is HOW do we make them see sense?
I mean there is too much invested in the Carbon bulshit!

couldn't agree more. I wonder who they blame for the last ice age ending.

On Newsnight tonight, seems even the Pro-Carbon guy admits Al Gores ice sample Graph is WRONG!

He admits its the SUN not Carbon that heats the planet!

We have got very bad coastal erosion on the the welsh side of the bristol channel, but it's not down to rising sea level's or global warming it's down to the amount of dreadging that is being done just off our coast.

If the sun is causing the heating up of the world what is causing it to do it,has the sun moved closer to the earth and these eco nutter's have failed to notice the shift in the sun's orbit, the thing that makes we laugh is that all car's fitted with cat's don't (should'nt) emit any exhaust gas at all unless they have a problem, but then we have a toyota hybrid which is not very good on petrol and use's alot of battery's which are not green in anyway at all so nobody win's except the car maker's and the green loon ball's.

Heard something on the radio the other day, also saying that solar activity is the cause of the earth heating up. Also the 'holes' in the ozone layer seem to have healed themselves (or are getting smaller). WOuldn't this help to trap heat at the poles? and wouldn't this contribute to polar icecap melting?

Seems you can't have everything!

Very true the ozane has repaired itself and this in turn trap's the gases in,so it's a case of a no win situation with all that's going on.

Aren't we (this planet) very overdue for another ice-age?

The news every evening seems to have Global Warming as its main feature. Carbon credits etc.

It's a real vote catcher at the moment.

Perhaps it woudn't be a bad idea that someone brave enough suggests that all homes are built with timber frame, solar panels and pipes in the ground with heat exchangers using the earth's natural heat to translate into heating. Costly but a step in the right direction rather than taxing our way out of the problem.

Perhaps the peeps at Brussells should downsize their vehicles as an example to us all rather than using Merc S Class, BMW 7 series and Audi 8's. Look in your own back yard minister.

Went into Lincoln city cntre tonight. Amazed that all of the super stores such as Comet, SCS, Homebase, NEXT etc who are located in the industrial area of Lincoln had their logo's burning brightly as well as lighting within but were closed!

Also so many street lights and carriageway lighting burning away. Do we really need all this lighting. Next time you go into your village, town or city at night from an elevated position, just take stock. Is all this street lighting necessary?

Rather than taxing ourselves out of this problem. Tax will not solve this issue by the way. Lets look at things now not talk about it for 'sound bytes' to be aired so it sounds convincing. Lets get the local authorities and government to start acting but with wastage rather than taxation.

The taxation won't change anything. The revenue collected would not be spent on public transport but used to fill the ever increasing black hole of wastage and not dealing with the problem from an envoirmental position of saving the universe.

I agree with you on the light burning issue there.

I would also ask why business don't recycle there paper waste I know many companies round us there normal bins a full of paper waste the Estate agents put there out of date property bits in normal bins this should be shredded and put for recycle pubs are not aloud to put to recycle there bottles so normal bins they go it's time this was looked at instead of the easy target you & me.

I have to pay extra for my garden waste bin £30.00 per year not allot I say, but many counties get them free and I feel as I want to do my bit then the councils should provide these things to help as you know most folk will not pay for the bin so again not helping the situation.
